Goblin's Inn

The staff were very friendly, and check-in was quick and easy. It’s close to the beach, and the bathroom looked newly updated with an amazing shower. The shower door was loose and a bit rickety, though, and the room decor could use some attention and upgrading. The neighbors seemed to enjoy the braai areas. I’d recommend it for an overnight stay.

The sea views from the bed are magnificent. Open the big doors, stretch out on the bed, switch on the fan, and just enjoy. It’s a lovely all-in-one cabin with a beautiful bathroom and a small kitchen station right behind the bed. The coffee pods are awesome, and there’s a lovely braai area on the same floor with a table and chairs. Don’t miss this!

Laura made us feel welcome right away, and even let us check in a little early. The place has lovely historic character and is well cared for. When we returned that evening, the TV wasn't connected. We tried the welcome book instructions and called the after-hours number, but the call didn't go through. We left early the next day, so there wasn't time for anyone to fix it. Still, it felt warm and homely.

We stayed in room 4 on Saturday, 8 January 2022, because we urgently needed somewhere for the night. It smelled musty and was very dusty. The toilet had no door, and the bath was in the bedroom. There was no sea view, even from the car park. Looking at the booking-site photos now, I wonder if we were in a different inn altogether. They give a very misleading impression, or may have been taken a long time ago. The place needs serious upkeep, and the photos need updating. We may have had one of the worst rooms, but I'd suggest asking to see your room first and checking it matches the listing.
