Hotel Sky Sandton

I went for the breakfast buffet, which cost R215, and thought it was very worth it. The hotel is modern and centrally located, with clean, comfortable rooms. The rooftop pool is a nice spot to unwind after a long day. It feels stylish without being too formal.

Cecilia at reception was such a gem, really kind, friendly and helpful. The whole reception team was wonderful. My room was amazing too, spacious, clean, and with beautiful lighting. 10/10, such a wonderful experience!

The staff were kind and ready to help all the way from reception to the breakfast hall. Our room was clean, and the lifts were always available. It was a much better experience than Hotel Sky in Cape Town, where unfortunately we had a terrible stay.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but that doesn't make up for the poor service, and I would never choose this place again. We arrived a day late because our travel plans were delayed, and although we had paid in full, the hotel had given our rooms to other guests. After speaking with the manager we got rooms, but they weren't ready. We were told to wait 30 minutes, then waited two hours before we could move in. The rooms are freezing and you can't control the AC. A vent hums day and night and kept me awake. There's barely room to move: the bed touches the walls at both ends, and you have to climb onto it to open or close the window. There’s no fridge or closet, just a tiny rack that can hardly hold two narrow shirts. The bathroom is cramped into the entry, with the toilet in the shower area behind a glass door, and nowhere to hang a towel. It felt more like a youth hostel than a hotel, despite the lobby.
