Lourie Lodge

I was there for a four day sporting event at Crawford School, and the location couldn’t have suited my needs better. I didn’t have a car, but the ten minute walk through Lonehill Park was lovely and felt very safe. The route also takes you right past the Shopping centre, handy for food, drinks or groceries.

The staff are cheerful and hospitable, and the place has a warm, homely feel. It’s in a quiet neighborhood, with a comfortable mix of modern urban style and the Victorian era. The Wi-Fi and air conditioner worked perfectly. Breakfast was good, though there’s room to improve it. I loved staying here, and the whole place felt like a home away from home.

The pictures of the rooms don’t show just how lovely this guesthouse is. It’s clean, peaceful and elegant, with an amazing garden. The owner, managers and staff have all been excellent. The people looking after me are warm, friendly and patient, and they make sure I’m fully accommodated, comfortable and safe. I’ve decided this is where I’ll stay long term when I’m in JHB. I’m a loyal guest now, and I recommend it to everyone reading this.

The staff at Lourie Lodge are the most caring and attentive people I’ve ever dealt with. They showed real heart and compassion, even helping me and my company try to change a stranger’s life by getting them off the streets and giving them a chance to build a life. Thinking about it brings tears to my eyes. There really are amazing people out there. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. It’s also probably the most conveniently situated lodge in the entire Fourways area, with very easy access. GO LOURIE LODGE!!!!!
