William Nicol Apartments by Monte La Vue

Dirty bedding was the worst part of our anniversary night. The pillowcase had a stain, and even the fitted sheet was dirty. The feta in my breakfast omelette was sour, so I couldn’t eat it. We’d booked a one-night stay for our 10-year anniversary hoping for a comfortable, special break. Instead, the room was hot and humid, with only a tiny fan. The towels seemed old, the towel rack was loose and falling off, the ceiling looked unfinished or poorly done, and a light switch was loose. If renovations were happening, we should have been told when we booked. That’s basic honesty. When we asked about the 4-star rating, reception said it had been taken down because of renovations. We raised our concerns and got a quick “sorry,” but no solution, compensation, or further feedback. The stay left us disgusted and extremely disappointed. It wasn’t worth the price or the advertised standard.

Rea was really helpful, and even though we checked in quite late, they were ready for us. The room was so clean and had beautiful aesthetics 😻😻. For luxury at affordable rates, think Monte La Vue. We were happy to stay here and will come back next time we’re around 🥳💃🏿💃🏿

There’s so much thoughtful detail in the modern layout, and the place feels spacious and comfortable. Both bedrooms and the living room have 55’ Hisense smart TVs. The receptionist was such a helpful sweetheart. You’ve earned a regular 🫶🏻

I arrived on 6&7 dec 2025 to find the place dirty and smelling bad. The lady who took me upstairs tried to mask the smell with air freshener, but that only made it worse. I told them I’d find somewhere else to stay. They said to fill in a refund form, which I did. Since then I’ve called and emailed several times, but all I get is an automated reply saying they’re still on festive holiday. Pathetic service. Management doesn’t even seem to care.
