Oudtshoorn has so much to do, so make sure you book more than one night. We could easily have spent a whole week at this gorgeous guesthouse. Anzue clearly takes great pride in it. The gardens are immaculate, and thoughtful touches are everywhere, from the little library in the shared area to the netting above the chairs outside by the pool and the lovely outdoor dining table. There was even a puzzle out that past guests had all helped complete. Breakfast can be arranged if you ask, and there’s an honesty bar. The pool uses natural spring water, and the area around it is divine. I highly recommend staying here.

We haven’t even checked out yet, but we’re enjoying the stay so much that I wanted to write this now. The grounds are beautiful and very well cared for. They’re so peaceful that some days we didn’t even feel like leaving. The host is lovely and welcoming, and the place feels like a peaceful retreat while still being close to exciting adventures. I’ll recommend it to friends coming this way. My husband says 10/5 stars ✨

The host’s warm welcome and attentive service made us feel like valued guests, and the care put into every detail was clear. From the manicured gardens to the inviting pool, the design and layout showed real thought and dedication. The amenities were abundant and carefully chosen, meeting every need with an elegant, comfortable feel. We found the guest house in an idyllic spot, with convenient access to both Oudtshoorn and the renowned Cango Caves. My wife and I had a recent stay here, and it surpassed every expectation. It may be the finest guest house we’ve encountered anywhere in the world. There’s genuinely nothing we could critique or suggest improving. We’ll undoubtedly return.

The host thought of everything and more, and she was friendly and helpful. The gardens are beautiful, the surroundings peaceful, and the guesthouse is extremely neat and well equipped. The best guesthouse ever! We’ll be back, and recommend Die Fonteine to anyone wanting to be spoiled.
