It’s a beautiful place in a nice area. The staff weren’t friendly and seemed more Afrikaans orientated, though that didn’t bother me since Namaqualand is mainly inhabited by Afrikaans-speaking people.

A great guest house in Springbok NC, with top-class rooms and a breakfast that deserves five stars.

There’s plenty of space, it’s very clean indoors and out, and shops, the mall, and a filling station are nearby. Breakfast came without eggs and nobody explained why. The reception lady wasn’t very friendly, and their cat wanders into the kitchen.

The room itself was good, with a really comfortable bed, but we were the only guests and they cancelled breakfast. Trucks passing down the hill close to the property use air brakes, and the noise kept us awake. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t return.

The room was clean and the staff were friendly. I’d stay here again, just never in room number 6. The water filtering system beside it runs all night and keeps you awake, which means very little sleep before a long drive. It would also help to list a cellphone number for after-hours contact, since WhatsApp is easier, especially if you don’t have a local simcard.
