The setting was beautiful and natural, and we felt calm and refreshed there. It was also a safe, peaceful area, so we felt at ease during our stay. Inside, everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained, and the place really felt like home. The hosts had left fresh milk, coffee and chilled water in the fridge, a thoughtful touch. The bed and bedding were very comfortable, and we slept well. We couldn’t have asked for more from a self-catering stay and would recommend it to anyone.

The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. It’s only a few minutes from Stellenbosch central and about a 30-minute drive to Franschhoek. The room has air conditioning, which was a big help in this heat.

The room was nice, though a little dated, with a firm bed, a good shower and working air conditioning. There’s free parking and a public braai area, and don’t worry about the dogs. The pool could use some care. We didn’t meet the owners. They were friendly over WhatsApp, but the key was left hanging outside on the metal entrance gate and the directions came by message, which made the place feel lacking in personal attention. Finding the right entrance was confusing: look for the second one marked “aan de Vliet.” Both gates have code locks, but the code only works on the second gate. Would I come back? Probably not.

The kitchenette had everything I needed, and the room was roomy and clean. I was here for work but it felt like having a home away from home, with a comfortable bed and lovely surroundings. Great value too, and I’d definitely recommend staying here.

It’s easy to explore the area from this well located guesthouse in Stellenbosch. The place was tidy, properly equipped and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. A cozy, pleasant stay, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting.
