This is one of my favourite places in Stellenbosch. The reading room is Jannie Mouton’s private library, with an amazing selection for Afrikaans-speaking book lovers: Afrikaans literary classics, the complete set of Hertzog Prize-winning books, and a broad poetry collection. Add cozy reading chairs and an impeccable look to the room, and it has just about everything you could wish for. The small, elegant art gallery downstairs is the cherry on the cake.
