Stark Conde Wine Estate

The wine was impressive, but the scenery at Stark-Condé really stunned me. We arrived just before closing for a tasting, and the staff welcomed us without rushing us. The open-air tasting room has mountains and water all around, with a full 360° of natural beauty. I would definitely go back. I can't get over how beautiful it all was!

The setting itself is beautiful, but the service needs work. We chose the wine-and-chocolate tasting, and it seemed odd to be served an imported wine in Stellenbosch, with so many local wines around. One staff member was friendly when we arrived, though the others didn't seem interested in us. The wine was warm, and we were told we could just add ice. If it isn't chilled or is sold out, it would be better not to serve it. When I said warm wine didn't make sense, they replied that they were already closed. I understand that, but they should have said so when we asked for another wine. We left disappointed.

We really enjoyed staying in the beautiful pavilion over the lake, looking toward the great mountain. It was magnificent, and Jacky was great and professional. Highly recommended.

Between the mountains and tranquil lake, the setting at Stark-Condé Wines creates an unforgettable atmosphere. The food and wine tasting were fantastic, with quality wines and scenic views. Highly recommended!
