Michael was the perfect host at dinner, showing us to our table, and the food on our first night was delicious. The kudu, vegetables, and especially the roast potatoes were great. Michael, Aki, and Anthony (Chef) gave warm, attentive, personal service, and the animals-friendly feel is part of what makes this place unique. We’d definitely come back, though the pillows could be better next time. We were a little unsure when we first arrived at the cabin, but Aki soon welcomed us, helped with the luggage, and got us checked in. The best part of the visit was 🧦 the 🐈 and the two dogs. We absolutely adored 🧦. Several guests were vying for her attention, so it would’ve been nice to see another cat or two as well. 😂

The setting is gorgeous, but Duke, the chef at the Log Cabin in Stellenbosch, is what makes the meal memorable. His food was so good I joked I’d promise to be a better man for one more bite.

The staff were lovely and accommodating, and the two dogs were a highlight. We stayed in the Serenity Cabin, which was a pleasure, with its own pool and hot tub. The views are beautiful at any hour, especially the stars at night. Dinner was superb and good value too.

The service at The Log Cabin felt genuinely caring and attentive, while still professional. We felt at home and looked after, with every detail taken care of. The rooms are beautifully styled, luxurious but still homely, and the whole place has a warm, welcoming feel. We’d absolutely recommend it. This was an experience we won’t forget.
