The owners made us feel welcome and were friendly and informative. It’s a secure, comfortable place, with free Wi-Fi, parking, a small shared fridge and a pleasant outdoor seating area. Town is about a 20-minute walk along tree-lined streets.

Otherwise, it was great. Just be aware that a packet of Cheddar biscuits at the Honesty Bar costs R15, and the water takes around 6 minutes to warm up after you turn on the tap.

A simple room, but it has what you need for a comfortable sleep. It’s near restaurants, so Uber rides are very cheap. Just note that it isn’t self-catering.
