Viettz Suite

The apartment is handily placed for trips to Stellenbosch, Jonkershoek, and Somerset West. Suné, the hostess, was very warm and helpful, and there was milk and fruit waiting when we arrived. The kitchen has a two-burner gas stove, which is a welcome feature when many self-catering places only offer a single induction hob. The shower is in the bedroom. That wasn’t obvious from the description or clearly shown in the photos, though it didn’t bother us much. But if you don’t like dogs, this probably isn’t the place for you. There are three dogs, and one is constantly intrusive, jumping at the windows while you’re inside and asking for attention whenever you’re outside.
