Stillbay River Lodge

We were welcomed promptly by our hostess, who showed us where to park and asked whether we'd like a tour of the guesthouse or wanted to head straight to our room. Such good service. Our room was spacious and immediately felt welcoming, with cool colours and a white beamed ceiling. The king bed was excellent, dressed in fresh, clean white linen, and the pillows were soft. There were bedside tables and wall-mounted reading lights. A fan worked well, and the windows let in a nice breeze. They're double-glazed to reduce road noise, though even open, it wasn't bothersome. There was a good-sized wardrobe, a hairdryer, and a dressing table with a mirror. The small fridge/freezer came with cold water and an ice tray, plus a litre of long-life milk. Tea, coffee, sugar, sweetener and a kettle were provided, along with rusks and welcome chocolates, which we really appreciated. Wifi and a wall-mounted flat-screen TV were available too. The bathroom was tidy, with toilet paper, air freshener and soap, and the shower was lovely and clean. We had a wonderful view over the river/lagoon, especially at sunset. Downstairs there's outdoor seating, a kitchen, ladies' and gents' toilets, and a pool table, with a reading nook upstairs as well. We'd definitely recommend this place. We had a wonderful weekend in this beautiful place. It combines five-star comfort and luxury with next-level cleanliness. The hosts have created a little haven, and I've found my sanctuary for whenever I need to get away from it all. Thank you!

A very nice guest house, near both town and Lappiesbaai.

Recently renovated, and stunning inside and out, with lovely views. It blends modern luxury with historic elegance, and you can see the care that went into the details. The hosts are wonderful, sweet people who know a lot about the property's and town's history, so don't hesitate to ask for a tour. The rooms are very spacious and the bed is so comfortable. My favourite part of the room was the shower. There's also a mini fridge and a spot to make tea or coffee if you'd rather stay in your room than go out to the lovely veranda. It's a great place to catch both sunrise and sunset. I'll definitely return and recommend it!
