The cottages are basic rather than fancy, but they’re just right for a one-night stop and the scenery is beautiful. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere for dinner and breakfast, and the homemade dishes were tasty and well prepared. Staff were friendly and helpful too. It was a great stop on the way to the South coast, and I’ll definitely visit again.

There’s a choice of places to stay, from a self-catering house to camping, making it a great overnight stop between Pretoria and Durban. The ablution facility was very clean, though it could use some upgrades. Security was excellent.

We hadn’t planned to stop, but with all the trucks on the road between Durban and Gauteng, we decided to sleep over and found this lovely place by chance. The room was clean and had everything a couple needs for one night, and the heated blanket was comforting. It was reassuring to know there was a guard on the premises. My wife loves a hot shower, and the morning shower was so good. This little hidden gem is one we’ll use again now that we know where it is. Well done, keep it up.

The mountain view is beautiful, and this little town is full of history, so it’s well worth a stop. The rooms are neat and comfortable, the restaurant food and service are excellent, and the family room rate is great value. It’s a perfect halfway stop on a long trip to the Underberg.
