We were a family of 15 and booked from 2 May 2025, checking out on Sunday the 4th. When we arrived at about 21:30 there was no electricity. They said it was being sorted, and we checked in in the dark. The owner came back about an hour later. Our room had no hot water, so on Saturday morning we had to shower cold in low temperatures. When we returned around 21:00 that evening, the power was still out. We contacted the owners, who didn't respond at first. After a long struggle they eventually replied and said there was a problem with the municipality. We slept and woke up without power, and had another cold shower. At about 9:00 on Sunday there was nobody at reception, so we left the keys on the doors. We paid R650 per person per day and enjoyed nothing. We're very disappointed, and I wouldn't recommend this lodge.

The people at reception were very kind, and the rooms were comfortable. It's outside town but well positioned, with a peaceful garden and beautiful forest on the property.

We arrived to find our booking had been double-booked. They only told us when we were checking in, so we had to find somewhere else to stay at the last minute. Not good.
