The peaceful surroundings, lush greenery and beach house decor made me feel relaxed and safe. Gordon welcomed me and showed me to a lovely, cosy room up in the trees. It worked perfectly as a base for a long weekend near my family in the area.

Gordon was so welcoming from the minute we arrived, and he's one of the friendliest, most helpful hosts we've come across. Shaka Seat is comfortable, well cared for and has a laid-back feel that made it easy to switch off and enjoy the holiday. It's a great option in Ballito. We'd gladly return and recommend it to others.

Gordon, the manager, was friendly and very welcoming. We found the rooms nice, and the price extremely reasonable. The location was handy for getting between the beaches, shops and restaurants.

Gordon was very hospitable, which I appreciated, but I barely slept because the room was infested with cockroaches. There should also be extra tissue. I think the guesthouse provides only one for the whole stay.

It felt like home, with polite staff, great service and comfort that was out of this world. You can swim or head to the beach whenever you like. The place is so tranquil, a lovely break, and Gordon is the best manager ever. A lot can be learned from him. I was left in awe and am definitely going back.
