The view was a lovely surprise, and the location is perfect. My room was cute, cosy, and very clean, with aircon that worked perfectly. The place was spotless, including the bathroom, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient. There wasn't a mini fridge or a phone for calling reception, though a wall plaque points out where everything you might need is. I barely watched TV, but the channel selection was very limited. Still, I had a nice experience 😊

Breakfast here was 💯! We were happy with how clean the whole place was, including the bathrooms, and the rooms were clean too. The staff were super friendly, and it was great value for money. We enjoyed our stay so much and will be back soon ✨

The parking situation caused a lot of trouble. Hotel staff told another guest to park in a way that blocked me in, and I missed part of a race while they went to wake him. It took about 20 minutes, and with two cars blocking the way and too little space, my car got scratched as I was getting out. If you're worried about your car getting dented during a stay in Umhlanga, I'd book somewhere other than Regal Inn. The hotel also looks old, with some chipped surfaces, and the employees I dealt with weren't attentive or professional. Please see the pictures I've attached.

The breakfast was good, and the price works well for a short stay or business trip. For more than one night in Durban, I'd consider upgrading to a four-star hotel.

The passage carpets didn't smell great, and the parking was so tight it didn't suit big cars. Rooms were clean, though very small. The place felt more like a Sun 1 kind of hotel.
