That location and view are beautiful. The restaurant's food and friendly service are great too. We recommend the mutton bunny, it was very tasty.

For divers, this is more than somewhere to stay. It feels like a liveaboard on land.

For what I paid, the room was below standard. The shower was shocking. Even after 15 minutes, I was hardly clean, and there were no towel rails. Pipes shrieked all night and kept me from sleeping. The kitchen cupboards smelled so bad I wanted to vomit every time I opened them, yet we were expected to put food in there. It's advertised on booking.com as having a kitchen, but there are no cooking facilities. The wifi didn't work, and we were told to go up the stairs to see if we could get a signal. The plugs are a health and safety risk, to say the least. Very, very disappointed.

On a spontaneous trip to Umkomaas Lodge, I really enjoyed my stay. The room was neat, and Cherece and Martin were very friendly and helpful. For spectacular views, fishing spots, and a spot right by the ocean, this is the place to be. Umkomaas lodge is a must, and I'm looking forward to visiting again.
