Wayside Lodge

The staff treated us like family, and the bar was very affordable. The food was delicious too. What a beautiful place, with heavenly surroundings. We'll definitely visit again.

The grounds and rooms were tidy, and our hosts really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We had a lovely overnight stay with lovely people. Highly recommended as a stop when you're heading to the lowveld.

We had a great overnight stay and will definitely come back. The views from the lodge were breathtaking, and the garden was beautifully kept. The rooms were neat and lovely, the breakfast was absolutely divine, and the alcoholic drinks were dirt cheap. The neighbors were friendly and accommodating too. Pierre and his wife welcomed us with such kindness, generosity, and care that it felt like visiting family.

Pierre was such a great host and helped us with all sorts of things, including finding a guide for the Stone Circles and Adam’s Calendar and getting our laundry sorted with almost no notice. The room was clean and comfortable, and both breakfast and dinner were great. We loved the fire pit, braai facilities, and estate. One of the best places I've stayed.
