At Ndlovu Game Lodge in Welgevonden, we felt at home from the moment Ranger April welcomed us. Our spacious, spotless rooms had lovely decor and a comfortable blend of African character and modern comfort. The people made the stay especially memorable. Sanet cared for us so thoughtfully, and was particularly kind and attentive to my mother. Zack and Maria were warm, helpful, and always there when needed. The whole team went above and beyond. Chef Peter’s food was outstanding throughout, with beautifully presented dishes that made every meal a highlight. Everything from the rooms and food to the service was wonderful. We left with heartfelt memories and will definitely return. I can’t recommend Ndlovu Game Lodge highly enough.

One of my most precious memories came on our last day. As we were checking out and signing the guest register, the cook in the kitchen started singing, Shosholoza. It was a beautiful goodbye, and I choked back tears. We can’t wait to return. We stayed at Ndlovu in November '24, and it was unforgettable. Everyone went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations. When I came down with a cold, the chef and his cook made soup and mixed up electrolytes to help me recover. Our safari guide April was incredible, generous with his knowledge, and had the best sense of humor. It was a pleasure to feel at home again in SA. I also treated myself to a spa day and had the BEST massage. The owners were a delight to talk to, wonderful people who love this land.

A-maz-ing! My partner was born in Rhodesia (Zimbabwe), but this was my first time in Africa. We had a four-night stay with my partner’s family and made beautiful memories. The animals were gorgeous and seemed in very good health, with different species on every drive, from elegant giraffes to cheeky baboons. Sanet, the manager, runs a gorgeous lodge and is always there to help without ever intruding. Zack and Timmy did everything with love, Simon the chef catered for all diets, and the female staff kept our rooms lovely. Philemon was an excellent, funny, knowledgeable ranger who made the game drives. Thank you, everyone. ❤️

April was an incredible guide, and Zach was wonderful, always smiling. The food Chef Peter cooked each day was delicious, and everyone went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. My husband and I came with two friends during our South Africa vacation in April, and we were thrilled to be there. The service was immaculate and every detail felt carefully considered. We felt at home from start to finish and left with full hearts and lasting memories. Such a special place, and a once-in-a-lifetime experience I’d highly recommend.
