Greenway Woods Resort

The rooms were tiny, old, and smelled bad when we arrived, nothing like the pictures. One night the electricity ran out, and they had to send us tokens to recharge it. Ridiculous. We also got yelled at by security for using the volleyball court between 9 and 11 PM, although there were no signs saying it was off limits and barely any guests. One room had no shower head or working plugs, another was missing light bulbs, and its bathroom door gave almost no privacy, even when closed. Not worth the price, and I definitely won't be back.

The place felt neglected and outdated, and for the price we expected much better. The rooms were smaller and older than they looked online, with a strange smell as soon as we walked in. We lost power one night and had to wait for tokens before we could turn the lights back on. The volleyball court was off limits after 9 PM, but no one told us and there were no signs. Still, the guard shouted at us two nights in a row. Our rooms also had major problems: no shower head, no plug points, missing lights, and a bathroom door that offered no privacy. We wouldn't return or recommend it.

There were basic problems from the start: one room had no shower head or working plug points. The other was missing two bulbs, one in the bathroom, and its bathroom door had big gaps at the sides, so it offered no privacy. We also couldn't use the volleyball court after 9 PM. The guard came over and shouted at us, even though there were no posted usage times and very few other guests. One night the electricity ran out completely, and we had to wait for tokens to refill it in the middle of the night. The stay fell short on comfort, maintenance, and hospitality. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a quality stay in White River.

A quiet, relaxing spot, with a spacious chalet and a fully equipped kitchen. It had all the necessities, including a private braai area, and cleanliness wasn't a problem. Getting there can be tricky if you follow the maps, so ask the staff for directions. Halal food places are a bit of a drive away.
