Belle Vue Suite

Mariette and Trevor are absolute gems. The venue is stunning, with a spectacular balcony view, possibly one of the best in The Wilderness. The room was super clean and had everything needed for self-catering. I’ll definitely be back.

The facilities were better than we expected, and the place felt cozy. I’d definitely return, hopefully for a longer stay.

Belle Vue was superb, spacious, spotlessly clean, well furnished, and adequately equipped for load shedding. The 180-degree sea views were a real treat, and we could sleep with the curtains open and still have complete privacy. Best of all, through the large window at night we could see hundreds of stars, including the Milky Way. We’ll return if we’re in the Wilderness area again. Thank you, Marietjie!

We only booked two nights and regretted it. Belle Vue looks just as amazing as the photos, and the apartment is spacious, beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable. The view is wonderful, and with the sea-facing door and windows open, the airflow is perfect. You can hear the breaking waves clearly when they’re open, and faintly when they’re closed. There’s also a braai stand on the balcony, and the lighting is enough at night during load shedding. DStv has premium channels, though Netflix would have been nice. The shower pressure was low, but that was our only issue inside. I’d give it 5/5, but I have to hold back one star because parking is unsecured. The area and property felt safe, there are CCTV cameras, and nothing happened to our rental car. Still, coming from Johannesburg, I couldn’t relax knowing it was parked outside the yard where anyone on the street could reach it. It gets very dark during load shedding at night. Otherwise, it’s worth it! Thanks to Mariette and Trevor Hankey for a great guest house.
