New Fairmount Hotel and Casino

Once the hotel picked me up, the trip went smoothly. Getting across the border from the Zim side of Vic Falls had been a headache, and coming here was a bit of a side mission, but the staff looked after us throughout our stay. Dinner came with live music, which was really good and added a lot to the evening. Breakfast had freshly made eggs and pancakes, though the bacon and sausages didn’t taste very fresh. The outside of the building could use work, but the rooms are much better than the exterior suggests. The beds are very comfy and quite springy, while the pillows felt a little hard 😬. There’s also a club attached on one side, and when there’s a live band, rooms on that side can’t escape the music. Ask reception about it if you’re planning early nights. Great hospitality overall!

The hotel’s central spot made getting around easy, and I found the rooms clean and the restaurant food delicious. Traveling alone as a woman, I felt safe, welcomed and cared for by the whole team. Everyone was warm and attentive. Allen checked on me every day and went out of his way to look after guests, and Wendy made organizing my tours easy. I felt looked after the whole time and would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

We had some serious transport problems that had nothing to do with the hotel, but the staff and manager helped resolve them in our favor. Allen was friendly and thoughtful, enjoyed a good conversation, and offered complimentary transport, room service and upgrades. The location is great, and the pool was nice on warm days. The excellent service made our stay at New Fairmount Hotel and time in Livingstone a great experience. I’ll definitely come back when I return to Livingstone.

It’s a really chill place, and the nightclub is top notch 🤌🏿😅. If you get the chance to visit Livingetone, check out the club on a weekend. You won’t regret it 😌
