The rooms looked clean, which was about the only good point for me. I was left waiting for hours without anyone greeting or helping me. When I asked what was going on, they said they were buying ingredients, then later told me only a few menu items could be made. The menu makes it sound like there’s plenty to choose from, but that wasn’t my experience. The food was plain and uninspiring, and the waitress didn’t give me my change. There was no hot water, the TV showed only static, and the air conditioner didn’t work. Most staff seemed friendly, but not professional. Even with everything else aside, basic courtesy is part of customer service, and they fell short. The lodge’s advertising is very misleading.

It’s a peaceful, lovely place to unwind after a tiring day or long meetings. I hope they sort out the hot water and air conditioners. More advertising would help too, since people I send there often get lost or have trouble booking.

I’ve booked rooms at Acamms twice for guests coming from out of town. Each time I was quoted a price and made the booking, but when I went to pay, it had gone up by K50. It happened last October and again now. They say the quoted rate was a promotion, but the amount at payment doesn’t match the promotional price I booked. Arguing hasn’t changed anything. Not impressed.

After finishing my exams, I booked a stay as a treat for myself. The TV only showed adverts because, they told me, dSTV hadn’t been paid for. I waited, but they said it would only be paid the next day, so I left. At first they said I could return once it was sorted and asked me to leave my details. When I called to check, someone else told me the few hours I’d spent in the room counted as using it. They offered just a 35% refund, and the whole thing was ruined for me. As I write this, they still haven’t even paid back the refund from yesterday. Management showed no regard for my issue. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, especially after the way they treated me.
