Coming back after seven years was a long wait, but Apogo was worth it. It still feels like a home away from home in Lusaka, now renovated and even better. The rooms have en-suite bathrooms for extra convenience, and the Olympia Park location has plenty to see, do, and eat nearby. You can also just relax at the lodge and enjoy the hosts' fantastic cooking. For an authentic Zambian meal, arrange it with them ahead of time. The garden and pool are lovely places to spend time, especially on a hot day. Guinea fowl wander around and peacocks stroll through, which is fun to watch. Rooms are clean and have TVs and A/C, and Wi-Fi is complimentary. Parking is free, and Manda Hill and Arcades shopping mall are less than a ten-minute drive away. Without a car, there's a taxi stand about 50 meters from the entrance, and the ride is inexpensive. A convenience store around the corner stays open until 7pm or later on busy nights. The hosts are warm and welcoming. For the latest details on amenities, meals, local attractions, self-contained cottages, and what's included, it's best to call before booking online, since conditions can vary by season in Zambia. I said in my original review that I'd stay here again next time I'm in Zambia, and I'm glad I finally made it back.
This family-run guest house is in Olympia Park, Lusaka, about a ten-minute drive from the city's central business area. It's a clean place to sleep, with a peaceful, easygoing atmosphere.
It feels so much like home that you almost forget you're staying at a guest house.
The grounds are clean and pleasant, and I didn't notice any mosquitoes.
