I was pretty disappointed the first night, mainly because of the bed linen. I had no top sheet and only noticed around 12:30am. The receptionist came up but couldn't help, and when I went back and pushed the point that I couldn't sleep properly without a sheet, I eventually got a rather grubby one. The linen was really poor, and having to press so hard for a response wasn't good. The rest of the guest house was fine, though. The chicken stir fry was decent, the air conditioning worked, and the hot water heater struggled. I had an executive room, but there was barely enough hot water to fill the tub. I thought the place would be great at first, so the bedding was a real letdown. Please fix it. After management read my review, the manager was waiting for me the next day and tried to make things right. The duvet cover still wasn't great, but I managed to get two of them, and they put a proper bed sheet on the bed the following day. The prices are reasonable, and even with load shedding they seem to have power 24/7, along with air conditioning. They're on the same line as parliament. I'd go back, though my first night was a bad experience.

The place itself is nice and the rooms are okay, but several extras weren't working. The AC was broken, and the shower pressure was too low. We saw the reception staff unplugging and hiding the WiFi modem, then they acted like it was a network problem. They weren't helpful when we needed to check our return flight or call a taxi, and wouldn't let us use their phone or internet. Breakfast was fine, though 😃

I was impressed that there wasn't a power cut during my stay. The place was actually better than I expected, and the room was big enough for me. I liked the menu at the lodge too. The internet speed wasn't good, but I could still keep in touch with my friends back home.

The rooms are very close together, so noise was a problem. I got woken up around 2am by drunk people arriving, and could hear them having sex too. On my first day the covers didn't seem clean, there were dead mosquitoes in the sheets, and the air con wasn't working. I complained and they fixed it, but we had to ask again to have the covers changed after two days. We had to wait until the next day for that. I really didn't enjoy staying here and wouldn't come back.

I booked late, but they got me checked in very quickly. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were friendly and professional. The location is great, close to Manda Hill and East Park Malls. Breakfast was the only downside. It wasn't up to standard, and I wish they'd improve it.
