Everything else went well, and it’s a beautiful place. There were some delays at checkout while the caretaker counted all the crockery and linen to check that nothing had been stolen. He also questioned why we arrived in two parties at check-in, though there were eight of us and we couldn’t have travelled in a single vehicle.

We stopped at Grey Oak on the way to Gaberone and had a pleasurable stay. Rejoice and Barron were friendly and accommodating hosts, and the house was spotless inside and out. Thank you, Rejoice! Ben, the owner, stayed in touch regularly before we arrived and thanked us afterward for staying at his house. We’d highly recommend Grey Oak Holiday House.

We were travelling from Vic Falls with a confirmed booking, but ended up waiting by the gate for an hour. Nobody showed up, and then we were told no one was coming. We had to book at Holiday Inn instead. Such a waste of our time.
