I gave this five stars less for the experience itself and more because it feels like a museum of how r h o d e s i a n culture in s a l i s b u r y used to be. There are lots of fascinating old pictures and architecture. What a time it was. Dinner and dessert came to $21, and there happened to be a club event that day. The food was delicious and served promptly.

The food was awful, and my first breakfast was wrong despite being a simple order. The eggs were swimming in oil, and I paid 10usd for eggs+2toast+1 coffee. I also had to buy Doom for a cockroach. In the room there was no aircon, no toilet seat even after I asked, no mosquito net at the window, a cracked wall, a broken closet door, and no plug for the bath or basin. The passage roof was coming apart, the dining room was dusty, and the kitchen I saw by accident looked unhygienic. Total disaster. They should stop lying with their pictures on Maps.

They need a huge billboard so people can spot the place easily from far away.

The location works well if you want town centre access and nearby supermarkets. It's in a quieter part of the city, though you can still hear some noise. The stay was satisfactory for the price. There are renovations on some floors, but you might not notice unless someone tells you. There was running water, working toilets, and DSTV with two or three channels. I didn't mind the limited TV since I don't watch much.

We attended a business workshop hosted by the culinary school, and it was a mess. The food was very bad, and the chairs need reupholstering. The hotel needs refurbishment and a facelift. There is also no outside sign to help people find the place.
