Troutbeck Resort

Lunch was a real highlight: generous portions, all delicious, and the chips and trout fish signature dish stood out. I also loved the scenic, peaceful golf course and the relaxing boat cruise. The hour of horse riding was fantastic, and beginners get instructions, so first timers are in good hands. There are plenty of other activities too, including a play area for little ones and ball games. I had an amazing time at Troutbeck Resort!

The place is beautiful and the views are lovely, so I’d recommend going for walks. We came for the activities and lunch, and you need to book horses ahead if you want a ride. The food wasn’t that great for me, sadly, though it won’t make you sick :)

The views were great and the place itself was really lovely. I’d have given it five stars if loud music for an organized running event hadn’t started at 6 am and kept me from sleeping. I was hoping for a quiet rest before it began. To be fair, the run happens just once a year, and it fell on the day I visited.

I was impressed by my three nights at Troutbeck. The hotel was busy, but the service stayed good, and the staff were cheerful, helpful, and clearly on the ball. Food was tasty and portions were generous, maybe even too big when ordering for a child. The ambience has improved dramatically since my last visit, and it’s a nice place to spend time.
