Dzimbahwe Guest Lodge

I spent five days at this lodge during a three-week trip around Africa. Mike and Thembi were a big part of what made it memorable. Mike always had a smile, made sure everyone was having a great time, remembered our breakfast order, and even had a fun laugh and chess game with me. Thanks to both of them and everyone at the lodge. Hope to come back soon! The service was amazing, with staff who genuinely care about guests and tourists around Zimbabwe. Rooms were clean and nice, with good WiFi, plenty of plug points, and UK/US/NA outlets, which was a great touch. The large mosquito nets around the beds were great, and the claim in one review that you can't move around the room because of them definitely wasn't true. We saw all the rooms. There are two nice pool areas, cleaned through the day, and the food was good. The steak was amazing!

We spent a week here while visiting Victoria Falls and would recommend it to anyone after budget-friendly accommodation in a good location. We walked to town and back every day, which is definitely doable, though Grace and the other staff were quick to arrange a taxi if we wanted one. Pardon, our friendly driver, also helped us feel welcome and explained what we needed to know to get around. The rooms were clean, spacious, and cool, and there was a fully working generator for power cuts. Breakfast was basic but lovely, and we felt satisfied every morning. Mike made sure our eggs were just right, while the cleaning staff left our room tidy each afternoon. The pool was a daily highlight after a full day under the hot African sun. What you see is what you get here.

It's close to town and all the activities. The accommodation was excellent, neat, and spacious, and everyone was friendly and very helpful.

The good breakfast and very nice staff were the only positives for us. We spent two nights at Dzimbahwe Guest Lodge in Victoria Falls, in room G1, at the back on the other side of the road. The rooms are very dark, with light only on the terrace, and they're very basic for the price. We had much nicer stays with better amenities elsewhere on our trip. The mosquito net is so big and tightly strung when opened that it blocks the whole room and makes it impossible to move around. The bathroom is huge, and some of that space could have gone to the room. The safe was locked when we arrived, and they couldn't find the key. The hair dryer didn't work either. Considering the price, it's absolutely overpriced, and we wouldn't stay again.
