Hostal Cisco de Sans

The room was cleaned thoughtfully during my two-night stay, which was a nice touch. Everything I needed had been sent beforehand, and the check-in directions were clear and easy to follow. The location was fantastic too, with simple access to everything I needed. The whole experience was great.

This traditional property is a lovely little hideaway in the mountains, set in the historic centre of Andorra la Vella. The owner clearly explained the self check-in process by email, so arrival was easy. Great property.

The old building has plenty of charm, and being in the old town of Andorra la Vella made it easy to walk to the various places I wanted to see. My room was eventually clean and tidy, but the tiny bathroom is not suitable for a fully grown person because the ceiling is so low. There is also no internet in the rooms. Since there is no reception, check-in instructions are normally supposed to arrive before you do. I received nothing and had to call the number on the door. A misunderstanding apparently happened over the room number, and when the same gentleman later came to the hostel, he was very rude about the mix-up. That was poor customer service. My inquiry to the reception or owner was also left unanswered.

The valley view from the balcony is stunning, and the room itself was warm and comfortable, with a big bed. The self check-in instructions in the email were clear and easy to follow when we arrived. It’s also an easy walk into the centre, with lots of shops, bars, and restaurants. We stayed for two nights, loved Andorra la Vella, and would happily come back to the hotel.
