Hotel Kandahar

Hotel Kandahar has one clear advantage, its position right beside the slopes, which makes skiing logistics much easier. Unfortunately, that was the strongest part of our stay, and the experience fell well short of what we expected from a 4-star hotel. The rooms and shared areas look outdated and need renovation. Staff generally seemed unfriendly and distant, making the atmosphere cold and unwelcoming. They also showed little patience or ability when dealing with children, despite the hotel's advertised claims about welcoming families. Meals were another serious problem. Breakfast was poor and lacked variety, while dinner was similarly tasteless and of questionable quality. Someone in our group even felt unwell after eating spoiled food, which is unacceptable in any hotel. Because the good location could not compensate for the hostile atmosphere, poor service, bad food, and lack of preparation for families with children, we do not recommend this hotel to large groups or families with kids.

My stay at Hotel Kandahar in Andorra was far below expectations, and several parts of it were unacceptable for a hotel in this category. The facilities are extremely outdated, the decor is in poor taste, and the general atmosphere feels more like a one-star establishment than a quality hotel. The manager was the biggest problem. Her communication with guests and her own staff was rude and disrespectful, showing a shocking lack of professionalism and courtesy. This left a terrible impression and clearly needs urgent improvement. The food was another major disappointment. It was poorly prepared, and some dishes, including the steak, were served raw. The overall quality was far below an acceptable standard. The staff themselves deserve credit, however. They were very helpful and did their best to compensate for the obvious problems with management and infrastructure. Even so, the experience was not comfortable or modern, and I will not recommend this hotel. I hope the complaint is taken seriously, especially regarding management and service quality.

The spa is clean, small, and works fine for the price, as long as it isn't crowded. With only one hair dryer, two showers and changing rooms, and limited seating, space gets tight. Since it's open plan, a big group can also make it very loud, and getting a place in the jacuzzi may be difficult.
