The apartment had nice views, free parking nearby, a reasonably available car park, and it was right beside the cable car, but the problems outweighed those positives. It was advertised for six people, yet there weren’t enough chairs, cutlery, or pillows. More cutlery was brought after we complained, but not enough chairs, and even a neighbour came asking to borrow one. The sofa bed was unusable, with loose slats and a badly sagging frame. The shower had very high water pressure, and its screen didn’t cover the whole tub, so water went everywhere. Both the bedrooms and kitchen were dirty, and the oven still had food scraps inside. Key collection was also awkward because the code arrived by WhatsApp on the day, not by email, and there was never anyone there to help. Wi-Fi costs extra and requires a transfer. The steep hill to the building is exhausting. The price explains some of it, but not all.

We had a terrible time collecting the keys because, although they claim reception stays open until 10 pm, nobody was there during the day. Our ski pass only arrived after 10 am, so with lessons already paid for, we had to buy another pass for the first day. The apartment was dirty, the previous guest’s food was still in the fridge, and the bathtub was covered in hair. The walls had mold, while the TV remote and oven didn’t work either. And there was more on top of that.

The apartment itself is pleasant enough for a short stay, but reaching it is a hassle. Cars can’t get all the way there, so you have to leave them in the free car park below, beside the cable car. From there, the route is a steep, uneven stone path, so care is needed with strollers and on slippery sections. There’s no elevator either. Fine for a few days if you can manage the access.

The location and views were the only things I really liked. When we arrived, nobody was there to show us the apartment, so we spent a long time trying to find it and were left out in the cold. We had to call several times for directions. The TV didn’t work, Wi-Fi cost extra, and the rent was very expensive. On top of that, the apartment wasn’t particularly clean. That’s why it gets two stars.
