The location was calm, central and very convenient, and our room had a comfortable size, a balcony, good beds, a refrigerator and enough closet space. The bathroom had a bathtub and robes. The receptionists were thoughtful and helpful, and the spa therapist who gave us a massage and body scrub was really sweet. The serious problem was the food. My friend got food poisoning after eating eggs from the breakfast buffet. Since we shared the same meals throughout the trip, we don't believe it came from anywhere else, so we wouldn't recommend eating breakfast there. The restaurant also charged us for food my friend never ate. The day after becoming ill, she ordered a starter but had to return to the room. I asked the waitress to tell the chefs not to prepare the rest of her order. Ten minutes later, the waitress brought both my meal and my friend's, even though my friend had left long before, and both were put on the bill. I'd stay at the hotel again, but I'd eat somewhere else. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby because the location is so central.

Our room had a lovely view over the river, and the main shopping area was within walking distance. Breakfast was varied and delicious, and everyone was friendly. We didn't use the spa during this stay, but we really enjoyed the hotel and would definitely come back.

The breakfast buffet was the standout, with plenty of choice for everyone, and it was served in a room overlooking the Valira river. The beds were comfortable, although the decor is slightly old-fashioned. The hotel is well located, the staff are friendly, and the small spa is worth using. Paying for the private secure parking is also worthwhile. A recommendation.

The rooms themselves were acceptable for a 3-star hotel, but the price didn't match the value. The hotel sits on the road, so the air is full of exhaust fumes, and our room looked onto what seemed to be a slum. Other rooms face the street, so I'm not sure which view is worse. There were many extra charges that weren't clearly mentioned. The website says parking is included but doesn't explain the €20/day surcharge. The parking area is small and about 250m uphill from the hotel, which is awful with a fairly large car. There is NO electric charger. The spa depends on availability and only includes a sauna, hammam and jacuzzi. The sauna was OK, but using it cost extra for just 45 minutes, and it had to be booked a day ahead. Breakfast was OK. Dinner was poor value, €23 for a meal without alcohol, with extra charges for some dishes, bringing it to about €40 per person.
