Resort Le Meridien Abu Dhabi Hotel

The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, but the hotel itself did not justify the price. The building is old, and although the rooms were maintained reasonably well, some areas clearly needed deep cleaning. Even with a requested non-smoking room, the corridors smelled strongly of cigarette smoke mixed with cleaning products. We had chosen the hotel partly for beach access, but it closed around 6pm, which made evening visits impractical. Breakfast was acceptable, though exactly the same every day during our one-week stay. The most alarming issue was finding broken glass in a juice glass. My husband noticed it before swallowing it, but afterward we avoided the juice for several days and became cautious about everything served. We would not return, and one week felt much too long.

The problems here felt operational rather than like isolated bad days. Check-in involved a 2-3 hour wait, with little communication or apology, and the staff seemed unsure of basic procedures for a Marriott-branded property at this price. Breakfast brought another 30-minute wait just to be seated. At dinner, popular dishes disappeared within the first hour and were not replenished, leaving later guests with very few choices. These issues suggest deeper problems with staffing, training, and oversight. Le Méridien is associated with hospitality excellence, but this property falls well below that standard. I would not recommend it without significant improvement.

The Saadiyat Ballroom at Le Méridien Abu Dhabi worked extremely well for our real estate open house. The hotel team supported the event from beginning to end with warmth, professionalism, and strong organization, and many guests commented on the hospitality. The food was also a highlight for several attendees. Everything ran smoothly, and the support made a real difference to the event’s success. We’re grateful for the experience and look forward to collaborating again.

The breakfast brunch was very good, with plenty of choices and a wide selection of egg dishes. Dinner brunch was okay, while the lunch brunch was quite weak. The hotel itself is old but has been renovated nicely, and the rooms are comfortable with the amenities needed. My only other disappointment was the lack of a nice view from the window.
