The standout was breakfast: plentiful and varied, with live cooking stations and chefs making fresh dishes. Room service arrived fairly quickly, though the food was average. The décor was pleasant, and the toiletries were generous and well stocked. The location is reasonably good, and prices can be attractive with a deal. Staff were generally kind and helpful, especially the consistently pleasant, professional valet and concierge teams. But the room was below my expectations for a hotel marketed as five-star. Housekeeping didn’t seem thorough, with noticeable dust and a smell that was often unpleasant. One bedside lamp was visibly stained, and several pieces of furniture showed wear and tear, as in the pictures. I also felt uncomfortable and less secure as a woman because the elevators let anyone reach guest floors without a room key. The hotel has potential and works well at a discounted rate, but the cleanliness, maintenance, and security concerns make its five-star status hard to justify.

The rooms, food, and atmosphere were all amazing, and everyone on staff was kind and welcoming. Yusuf from the pool area deserves a special mention. He’s a great person and very professional. We came from Uzbekistan with Sayr Travel, and we’re grateful for the recommendation and for arranging such a wonderful trip. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the hotel.

We waited more than three hours for our room, with many other guests also waiting because no rooms were ready. We finally got a call at 6:30 PM saying ours was available, much too late for check-in. The room also had no bathtub, despite our request, and the hotel offered no proper fix or alternative. The staff’s attitude and customer service felt neither welcoming nor professional, which added to the frustration. In a situation like this, I’d expect a 5-star hotel to apologize and perhaps offer an upgrade or some other compensation to help keep guests satisfied. We received none of that. Poor management and organization made this a very disappointing experience.

Buthaina at Reception welcomed me with such a warm smile and made me feel valued as soon as I arrived. Okezie and the Concierge team, along with the Room Service staff, were also professional, kind, and attentive throughout my stay. I really appreciate all of them. This was another stay at Canal Central Hotel Business Bay, and it again exceeded my expectations. The rooms are well maintained, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the service is consistently comfortable and enjoyable. That’s why I keep choosing this hotel when I visit Dubai. I highly recommend it and will certainly return.
