Fashion Avenue Dubai Mall Luxury Residences

During our stay at Durrani Homes, an employee came to collect the insurance deposit, but my card wasn't accepted. I politely asked him to step outside so I could call and work out a solution. He said he'd come back in 15 minutes, which was fine. I was still on the phone when he returned and began banging on the door aggressively. It was so forceful that I thought he might break the handle. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I was extremely upset, and this will be my first and last time staying at or visiting this place.

I was there for two weeks. I'm an Asian girl, and I never complained to the hotel. I only went to reception to register when my friends came to my room. The male receptionist smiled at other people but rarely at me. The female receptionist smiled at others but never at me, and seemed unhappy whenever I approached her. People smoked in the hall every day, and the smell reached my room. There was also construction next to the building. Even above the 30th floor, the noise woke me at 6:30am and continued until 7pm, Monday through Sunday.

The room was clean overall, though the bathtub was dirty. The reception could be a bit slow sometimes, but the hotel was very nice, and the pool staff were the best.

We booked through airbnb for our second stay. The pool service is what earns this hotel five stars for me. Ragesh was amazing, bringing water every 20 minutes, ice lollies, and cold face cloths, and looking after us so well. He's friendly and always wished us a nice time. He's a real credit to the hotel. The rooms badly need refurbishment, especially the kitchen and bathroom. Last year's room was much better. In this one, the toilet roll holder kept falling off the wall, and one socket was unsafe and didn't work.
