Globalstay Damac Majestine Apartment hotel

We stayed for 9 days on vacation, and the room was gorgeous. I felt at home as soon as I walked in. It was quiet all the time, just how we like it, and very relaxing. The pool was empty because it was so cold. Only the jacuzzi was heated, while the big pool was freezing. The downstairs concierge is available 24 hours. I arrived at 3am and they were there to help. Waseem was accommodating too, and we could text him at any time. One piece of the bathroom ceiling fell off. Workmen came to repair it just as I was leaving for a tour, and it felt uneasy having people in my room while I was away. I wish they’d done the repair when I wasn’t around. Apart from that, everything was great.

Our work group stayed here temporarily while visiting Dubai's Arab health convention. The front desk and security personnel were hostile, and the place felt very strange. I feel sorry for anyone renting here long term. Won’t rent here next time.

We had an AirBNB apartment managed by Tanami Homes, so I can't speak to the room quality. The building itself is aging and in poor condition, and I wouldn't recommend staying here. The pool is open only from 10 am to 10 pm, has just five loungers, and doesn't allow drinks or smoking anywhere on the deck. That hardly makes for a relaxing place to spend time. When we checked out, we asked to leave our luggage for two hours, but the rules didn't allow it. We ended up hauling our suitcases around Dubai. The staff we met were friendly, though their English was limited. Food delivery was another hassle. Couriers can't come upstairs and have to use a service elevator after walking around the building. It can take up to 20 minutes for that elevator to become available, so you have to meet them outside if you want your food hot. There doesn't seem to be a way to contact management directly. The only option we found was the concierge email, which is why I'm posting here. We won't be coming back.

Parcel deliveries here can take 20 to 30 minutes because of the building's security process. Couriers have to walk a long way to a distant, very slow service elevator, and aren't allowed to use the main one. Security also spends time checking each delivery person's ID first. Customers then blame the delivery company when their parcel is delayed, but the building's policy is what causes the wait. The security system and staff conduct need to improve.
