Be prepared to spend the summer without AC. The building management seems to care about everything except the real problems. I pay 1,000 dirhams every month for AC that never works.

I’m happy to have the Designers Collective institute inside the Indigo Building. It’s right in the heart of Jumeirah lakes tower, beside the DMCC metro station. The architecture is exquisite and the management is on the spot.
The building is falling apart all the time, so there’s plenty to fix. Roaches come free with the place. The corridors stay dark because the lights don’t work, which may suit people with hypersensitive eyes. The pool has five beds, all broken, for a cozy feel. The fire alarm goes off several times a week. Maintenance seems capable, speaks many languages but not English, and occasionally has a screwdriver. Security really sells the feeling that the building is Fort Knox when guests arrive.
I’ve never seen worse building management. The security is rude, the rules are arbitrary and unclear, and the gym is poorly equipped.
The gym and pool are good, and the security staff are friendly. It’s a lovely tower in JLT, in arguably the best cluster, with a brilliant location near the marina and plenty of nice restaurants nearby.
