We’ve been here for one week and are staying for one more. It’s been a great place so far. There’s construction around the building, but it hasn’t been annoying. The pool is great, and it’s actually cool seeing all the development happening right now. The staff and people here are super nice, plus points to them all! There’s a store if you leave in the opposite direction from the lobby, and they’ll help carry your things to the apartment if it’s too much. 🙏

My first 18 months renting a one bedroom apartment at Anwa were perfect. The apartments are spacious, with fantastic views and excellent fittings, and the receptionist and security guards are outstanding. But during my 3 years there, the maintenance team only dealt with minor issues. Construction on two towers either side of Anwa tower now makes the pool virtually unusable because of the noise, and the air is constantly dusty. The rent became unaffordable for me after rental prices went up, though that’s a Dubai problem, not specific to Anwa. My last year was far from enjoyable. Maritime city has become one huge construction site and is dirty. Builders’ vehicles fill the outdoor car park during the day, making guest parking difficult. Just before moving out, I left my car there overnight and woke to find dozens of dried cement globules covering it. Other cars were damaged too, and the Anwa management company was unhelpful and took no responsibility. I’m sure the area will be amazing in a few years, which is a shame because the apartments are beautiful.

The views and amenities are beautiful, and the building has so much potential, but the management is awful and seems nonexistent. My ceiling keeps getting wet and cracked because of serious water infiltration. I told my agent everything, but she hasn’t been able to get a response from management. The heater also doesn’t work, so I have no hot water. There’s also a very rude, poorly trained Asian girl at reception who keeps creating problems for no reason when maintenance workers come in.

The helpful, very polite front desk security and the view are the only good things I can say. This building isn’t ready to be inhabited, and one star is more than it deserves. It could have been a nice place, with the port side walk and port views, but don’t be fooled by the glossy brochures or fancy sounding building. There’s a reason most new buildings in Dubai sell out quickly while Anwa tower is still struggling despite heavy marketing. Since I moved in over 6 months ago, the pool has been unusable and is now being rebuilt, with an estimated completion timeline of 4 months. Water is dripping through my bedroom ceiling because the apartment above flooded, and all the walls have cracks. The 1st floor parking lot floods when it rains, while the 4th floor parking lot remains a construction site. Visitor parking is still inaccessible. The windows, which are supposed to be cleaned every 2 months, have never been cleaned, so I can’t fully enjoy the view I’m paying for. There are also cracks and poor finishing in the common areas, and I’ve never seen all the lifts working at the same time. Fire alarms go off at random times every day, despite the building being barely occupied. Twice, I’ve been in the lift when the fire Alarm went off and the lift stopped working. The kitchen extractor above the stove pulls smoke into the apartment because no ducting is installed. Etisalat phone coverage in the building is almost nonexistent, and it’s outside deliveroo’s coverage area. You also have to pay a nonrefundable 1000 aed just to connect the AC. The management company seems under qualified and not up to managing the building. They send emails promising things that don’t happen and give ultimatums, but never solutions. It’s the first building complete in the area, so moving here means living on a building site for the foreseeable future. Traffic is terrible getting in and out at rush hour, and the access roads are all detours. I could go on. While I was adding the photos, the fire alarm went off again.
