Catamaran Hotel Marina

This family-run hotel puts real care into everything, and you can feel it in the service. Our room opened straight onto their own small private beach, complete with loungers, tables, kayaks, inflatables, a pool, and the sea right in front of us. Breakfast was brought to us every morning, while the room was cleaned so thoroughly that you could eat off the floors. I had a beautiful experience here and couldn't recommend the place enough.

The peaceful setting was a big plus, and English Harbour was still easy to reach, about a 20 min walk or a $12 taxi ride. Breakfast was included and the room was serviced every day. We loved staying here and would come back.

I almost don't want to give this a full 5 stars because I would rather keep Antigua's hidden gem to myself. The rooms are peaceful and right on the beach, with breakfast served each morning and very detailed daily cleaning. This family owned business impressed me a lot. They run it with the same care, pride, and kindness I try to bring to my own business at home. If we visit Antigua again, we will absolutely return, probably more than once. Thank you for one of the best stays we have experienced.

For a beachfront property at this price, it is a good deal, as long as you arrive with realistic expectations. I travel a lot and am not high maintenance, but the room felt tired and a handful of small updates would help. The grounds and property were cleaned and maintained every day. Breakfast was simple and fresh, delivered to the patio, and the hot shower was reliable. The location also made it convenient for several attractions on the south side, and being able to use the kayaks was a nice bonus. There are some easy improvements. A microwave in the room would help, and the stiff beds could use an optional mattress topper. The online listing should say that the on-site restaurant is no longer open. The sand rakers should wait until 9am to start, since 0630-0700 is too early. Our room was near the office and the outdoor seating area from the former restaurant, so nighttime noise could be bothersome. Karaoke from nearby establishments was also audible unless we closed everything up and switched on the AC. A few basic room fixes would make a difference too, such as replacing missing dresser knobs and providing normal size ice trays.
