Galley Bay Resort & Spa

The beachfront rooms were the highlight for us. Stepping straight onto the sand and hearing the waves at night made the stay wonderfully relaxing, and the bed was very comfortable. The resort was quiet and serene, and as vegans we appreciated the designated vegan breakfast menu and the meals that could be adjusted for us. Fresh vegetables from the 13-acre garden made the food even better. Morning yoga with Ivana and our body wrap and massage at the spa were also amazing. Service was the weak point. Some staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, while others acted as if we were inconveniencing them. Even with that inconsistency, we had a beautiful, peaceful stay and would recommend it, with a few improvements needed.

The people made this resort feel world-class. Alaska, the General Manager, clearly runs a tight ship and was fantastic. Chelsey, Suzette, Vaugn, Samantha, Maggie, Shane, and Amanda all gave us exceptional service. Tarik at the bar made delicious cocktails, and the water sports team, including Captain Sean, were brilliant. We spent our honeymoon here and couldn't have asked for a better setting. The grounds were breathtaking, the facilities beautifully clean, and every restaurant was superb. Ismay’s costs extra, but the meal was one million percent worth it. It's hard to describe how perfect these two weeks felt. Thank you to the whole team for making them so memorable. We can't recommend it enough.

I've stayed in plenty of nice hotels in different countries, but this one blended high standards with relaxed warmth and friendliness better than anywhere else I've been. The staff were amazing, warm, and genuinely friendly. It was a fantastic place to chill out and relax. I'll be back. 😎

The setting was perfect, and the food and drinks were good. Galley Bay also has an impressive farm where most of the vegetables and some fruit are grown on site, and we visited it. The people were consistently helpful and friendly when we had questions or concerns. There were several problems in the rooms, including showers that did not work, bugs, broken AC, and low water pressure. We also had mix-ups with orders at breakfast, lunch, and the bar. Although we had asked to be in the same building and were told yes at check-in, our four couples ended up in separate buildings. There are only two all-inclusive restaurants, plus one with a $50 pp surcharge, so another restaurant would help.
