Bujtina Apsus

The location could hardly be better. It’s on Berat’s main street, but at the quieter end, so sleeping was peaceful. Parking in Berat is difficult, which made the private parking behind the hotel especially useful. The owners are absolute gems. Their English isn’t perfect, but the language barrier didn’t stop them from making us feel genuinely welcome. The rooms were clean, and the price through booking.com was excellent compared with other options. The host also sent us a long list of activities, restaurants, and places to see, then helped us arrange excursions and tours to the nearby canyon. Great location, lovely hosts, clean rooms, and a great price. I’d recommend this place 10/10 and would happily stay again.

The evening view from Bujtina Apsus was one of my favorite parts of the stay. Seeing the city lights reflected in the river, with the Gorica Bridge nearby, was magical. Everything in the room felt new and carefully looked after. It was clean, cozy, and comfortable, and the free parking meant we could leave the car there while exploring the nearby Old Town. Breakfast was simple but delicious, especially the homemade fried dough, petulla. Enri also made a big difference. He was kind, helpful, and full of good suggestions for places to visit, while making sure we had everything we needed. A smooth, enjoyable stay, and one I’d gladly recommend to anyone visiting Berat.

The room at Bujtina Apsus was spacious, spotless, and well equipped, and the breakfast was delicious. The service was extremely friendly and the hospitality made this one of our best stays in Albania. It’s also very well located in Berat. I’d gladly recommend it and come back.

The balcony over the river was such a lovely experience, especially with the view toward the old bridge and old town neighborhood. The staff were all amazing, and the rooms looked exactly like the photos. We had a wonderful stay and I’d return here anytime. Please keep doing things this way, because I definitely want to come back.
