In Mangalem, Berat, this charming villa restaurant combines traditional architecture with warm hospitality. The cozy, authentic atmosphere suits the fresh, flavorful food, making it a lovely place for local cuisine against a beautiful historic backdrop.

Villa ELMAR feels like an unassuming little paradise. Its tiled floors and wooden beds gave it a traditional atmosphere that reminded me of Spanish villas, while the vibrant garden hidden behind the property had tortoises wandering around. Diones was always on hand with food, drinks, or anything else we needed. The location was ideal for exploring Berat, a cute and tourist-friendly city. If you book, call ahead to request a bedroom with a view, since one room is beside reception, and be kind to Diones while he hosts you in his family home.
