The room was spacious and clean, and I ate very well in the restaurant. Every staff member I dealt with, from check-in and check-out to dinner and finding a safe place for my bicycle overnight, was kind and helpful. I reached Kukes on August 16 2022 during a cycling trip through eastern and northern Albania. After driving around town twice looking for somewhere to stay, America was surprisingly the only hotel I noticed. So I didn't really feel I had much choice, but that didn't affect the quality of my night there. It was comfortable and pleasant, and I wouldn't hesitate to return.

For € 20 per person, including breakfast, this is excellent value. Motorcyclists will appreciate the enclosed motorcycle storage, and the romantic terrace is a lovely extra. The best part, though, is the waiting staff. They're wonderful people.

Kukes doesn't offer a lot to see or do, which makes Hotel America feel like an oasis surrounded by concrete blocks. The owner gives each guest individual attention, and parking is free with plenty of spaces available. The restaurant is decent too. In the end, the most notable place in Kukes may well be the hotel itself.

The owner made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Our room was large and clean, and the food in the restaurant was delicious. I've stayed in plenty of hotels, but this is easily one of the most unique and amazing. Anyone traveling around Albania should visit this place.

We were surprised to find such a good hotel in the small town of Kukes in Northern Albania. The room was enormous, with a 65 inch TV, and the bathroom had a jacuzzi. Dinner was very good, the service was excellent, and the prices were out of this world.
