Nuevo Deluxe Resort

The room itself was nice, but the balcony was very small and disappointing. There was no ATM or way to change money. We were also told that “locals and Albanians sit on the left side and English sit on the right,” even though there were far more sunbeds on the left. When we told reception we were leaving early because the place wasn’t for us, we were met with a disgusted expression, as if we had done something wrong. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The area smelled bad and the location was very poor, but most of the other things were good. The rooms were very clean, and the cleaning ladies were kind. The pool was also spotless, with comfortable, good-quality sunbeds. We enjoyed the tasty restaurant food, although communication was difficult because the restaurant staff did not speak English well. The reception girls were helpful and polite.

My stay at Nuevo Deluxe Hotel in Shengjin was extremely frustrating. There was no room service, not even for water or food, and staff barely answered calls or dealt with requests. In such a remote and underdeveloped area, that lack of service was especially difficult. The rooms were not cleaned daily, breakfast ended far too early, and arriving late meant finding nothing left. The overall service felt careless and unprofessional. I would not recommend this hotel.

The room was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. As English visitors, we found communication slightly difficult at times, but that was understandable since the hotel mainly caters to Albanian visitors and locals using the aqua park. The pool area was fantastic, with water slides, a kids pool, a football court, and a play area. There was also complimentary water in the mini fridge, four free bottles on arrival. Breakfast ran from 0800-1000, which is the standard two-hour window for an Albanian hotel. The restaurant had an a la carte menu, and the pizzeria was delicious. Although we checked out on our final night before flying home to the UK, we stayed by the pool until 1730 the next day without any problem.
