Breakfast was included and ran from 8 to 10am. There was juice, two kinds of bread, cake, jam, butter, feta-type cheese, regular cheese, sandwich meat and fried eggs. The room was clean and had what I expected, including soap, shampoo, a hair dryer and a small fridge. Bring your own conditioner. The AC and boiler worked fine. The room and bathroom looked a little dated, but at 30€ a day that seemed fair. Don’t expect five-star service for that price, like daily towel changes or someone making the bed. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the city center and main sights, with a bus stop nearby. The street is quiet, and Wi-Fi worked in the room and downstairs. Bring Euros. There’s a good exchange place a few minutes away on the main street. Staff weren’t all confident in English, but everyone was welcoming. I was sceptical after reading the bad reviews, but none of those problems happened to us. The stairs are somewhat steep and narrow, with a handrail. They’d only be a concern for someone with reduced mobility. Our room was on the second floor, and I don’t think there are ground-floor rooms. There’s no lift, so keep the stairs in mind if they’d be difficult for you. I’d recommend the place for its price, location, cleanliness and friendly staff.

The rooms were in appalling shape: the shower leaked onto the bathroom floor, towels weren’t replaced each day, paint was peeling, there was no lighting, and there was nowhere proper to hang clothes. The online photos made them look much better than they were. On arrival, I asked about the free parking listed on the website. Despite my repeated explanations, they told me to use public parking instead. Later, they charged extra, saying I’d booked in euros but was paying in ALL. I showed the conversion, but they still didn’t accept it and became hostile when I tried to pay the converted amount. When I asked for my money back so I could try to get euros, one of the women threw it on the floor. The first day, the owner repeatedly hung up when I called because of the language barrier, and didn’t call back or find an English-speaking staff member. They also just said yes when they didn’t know the answer, which led to me getting a parking ticket after I parked on another street because the hotel street had no space. They weren’t helpful with anything I asked for. One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I’d give it 0/5 if Google reviews allowed it. Tourists should avoid this place.

The owner was really disrespectful, and the rooms were smelly and disgusting. Worst experience ever. I’d give the place zero if I could.

The owners are friendly, the location is the best, and the fried eggs were the best I’ve ever had. Great value for the price, too. Fully recommend.
