Vila 27 Residence had a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that made for a relaxing meal, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make the visit good. The food was amazing, fresh, bio, and full of flavor. The quality ingredients and traditional preparation really came through in every dish. If you want great food with top-notch service, I can’t recommend this place enough. I can’t wait to return.

This property sucks. The rooms were a bit tidy, but the entrance and especially the washroom and toilet were awful. The place feels creepy, with broken doors, no toilet paper, a broken shower door handle, and no trash bin. There isn’t much parking either. The property scams about the advertised facilities compared with what’s actually there.

I appreciated the owner reducing the price by 40 euro and letting me leave without a charge, though for different reasons I couldn’t leave. He was nice and helpful, and the AC and shower worked well. Still, I never felt comfortable, not for a moment. I usually sleep in my tent, but sometimes need an apartment to feel a bit more at home for a few days. Instead I felt betrayed of a positive Tirana experience. I survived the stay, but this was too much, and the place needs investment. It could become the perfect place to be in Tirana if they do that. I’d paid for a superior apt., but arrived to a really Dilapidated room that wasn’t even clean, which was very disappointing. The fridge wouldn’t close, so I had to prop a chair in front of it. All the furniture was in a condition that wasn’t suitable for costumer use, and the kitchen was so poorly equipped you couldn’t cook, just one tiny pot. Things had been fixed with tape. The bed sheets and towels weren’t really clean, and nobody changed the towels during those 4 days or even asked if I needed fresh ones. The door frame seemed made for another door. I’d never seen anything like it. Locking the door took a trick and some force. There was an apple under the second bed, which might still be there. I didn’t touch it. I’m not picky, but honestly, this was too much.

We were a big group of students and the hosts were very hospitable, helping with whatever we needed. The rooms are simple and affordable. Student City is right there, with lots of good shops and cafes nearby, plus the affordable Marion Mensa for meals. It’s a nice half-hour walk into the city centre. I’d definitely stay again.
