We left a night early because the hostel wasn’t clean and the kitchen and bathroom facilities weren’t decent. Even the volunteers said the photos were misleading and didn’t show the hostel’s current state. Things were poorly organized, it was hard to tell who worked there, and they were overbooked without enough beds. We were charged more than the booking confirmation showed. They said they had no change, then acted like the amount they kept was a better deal. I don’t understand the good reviews. The only good part was that the beds were clean and comfortable.

I spent 12 lovely days here. I’m from London, and the staff were really friendly. The hostel was very clean, and they offer breakfast too. For this price, I couldn’t even get a meal at a restaurant. There’s a nice place to sit outside in the garden. It’s a great base for exploring Tirana. The bus stops are all within walking distance, so you can get to the airport or picnic spots.

I had a reservation for a while, but only found out two days before I was due to arrive, when I asked how to get there from the airport, that they couldn’t host me and I needed to cancel. They said there were plumbing problems, but hadn’t bothered to inform guests with bookings. They acted like it was perfectly acceptable to tell me so late, and only after I contacted them. Really unprofessional, and they don’t seem to understand basic hospitality.

The hostel has a great location in a nice neighborhood, and the garden under the orange trees has such a chill atmosphere. Loren boss is amazing. Breakfast is enough to get the day started. I highly recommend to zigzag. Thanks for your hospitality...

The breakfast was the best ever, and the place is really cozy. The garden is amazing too. It’s a 15-minute walk from the main city square. There’s a parking lot close to the hostel where you can leave the car for 700 lek per day. Such a friendly place!
