Hotel Olive

I stayed at Olive hotel for five days. The staff were very polite, the rooms were very clean, and it's a two-minute walk from the main street. Amazing hotel! I'll definitely come back when I'm in Vlore.

The breakfast was great, with lots of variety and fresh food. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities you could need. Amazing hotel, one of the best in Vlore by far! 🤩

Two stars is generous. We only needed the room for one night, thankfully, because it was an unpleasant stay. There were two adults and two small children in our family; our one-year-old sleeps in the large bed with us. We'd booked a room for three, but were told to pay for four without any change to the room. We got two sets of towels and beds and sheets for three. They were very polite, but couldn't give an adequate explanation when we asked about the difference. The shower flooded the floor, the soap dispenser was broken, and the air conditioning smelled really bad when switched on. The room looked decent in general. The location is logistically convenient, but it's the ugliest slum I've ever stayed in. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but it's bad.

I left Hotel Olive early, even though I knew I wouldn’t get a refund. The room felt impossible to stay in, and I can’t recommend the hotel. From September 6-8, the air conditioning didn’t work when I checked in, making the room unbearably hot. I asked to switch rooms, but was told there weren’t any available. It wasn’t fixed until late that evening, so I couldn’t stay in the room before then. The bathroom was a mess too: the shower flooded the floor, there was no place for toiletries, and the soap dispenser was empty and broken. Toilet paper and other amenities were nearly used up when I arrived, and there were no cups for the kettle. The bed and pillows were so uncomfortable that I couldn’t sleep properly. Staff did little to resolve the problems, and communication and service were completely lacking. This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had.
